Have you ever come up with an idea that you swear no one else has ever thought of? You never heard of the idea so you think you just hit it big. I mean…What would the chances be that the idea has been taken? It’s ingenious, it’s insightful, and it’s perfect.

Well, as I was quickly approaching my 37th birthday I had such an idea. Wouldn’t it be fabulous to love what I do, utilize my organizational skills, and help people though a major life change. This is what I am all about! Behind the scenes, unbeknownst to me, I was in the mist of reinventing myself and my life’s direction when I hit a wall. I need a change!

I started brainstorming idea’s with a friend and in the library of our condo clubhouse the concept of a senior transition company was born. A handful of rainbow sharpies and extra large flip chart were our weapons of choice along with the need to make a difference.

Guess what, it wasn’t a bright new idea – I found out that there is an entire industry designed to service people in the process of moving, especially seniors. It is called Senior Move Managers. A little over a year later, I am certified, insured and a member of NASM (National Assoc. of Senior Move Managers. This month we have been busy staging houses and helping people get ready to move and settle into their new homes. Our holiday home decorating team is now in full swing.
